The Ascension Project is currently in phase one, where we are connecting with like minded individuals who are looking for a way to generate an invaluable service to the human family that will contribute to the development of the species for untold generations. This indeed is The Ascension Project.
Our history
The Ascension Project began with founder Luke Shillig becoming acquainted with the idea of the Earth undergoing several mass extinction events throughout world history. With each of these events only a few species on the planet survived, and the ones that did were often plants, animals, and fish that lived either a portion of their life cycle or all of their lives in an environment that is resistant to massive changes in temperature. i.e. oceans, caves, or subterranean living.
Our mission
The central tenant of the Ascension Project is to use human ingenuity in securing our foothold as a species in the solar system and beyond. We plan on doing this in a phased approach. First by building a community of likeminded individuals who value, STEM, Health, Virtuous Principles, Sustainability, Community, Industry, and Achievement. Second by leveraging the time, and talents of community members to create an Under Ground community that is fully functioning in sustaining life long term under the Earth's Surface. Third by using the expertise that The Ascension Project has garnered in building one subterranean community, and parlaying those skills into the establishment of many subterranean communities all over the face of the Earth. The Fourth phase will involve the development of our first off planet community, and the Fifth and Final phase would take us out of the solar system and into many other segments of the galaxy and beyond.
